Ready for Swisscom

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of a software system in the field of VoIP telephony. The main goal is to develop new functionalities for a Python backend application. You will be part of a cross-functional, agile team of about ten Engineers in Switzerland and in our DevOps Center in Rotterdam. The team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the application, from design and development to deployment and operations.

  • Utilize the latest technology stack, including Python 3.12, Kubernetes, Gitlab
  • Gain an overview of the entire application and take responsibility, providing growth and learning opportunities
  • Collaborate in an international, cross-functional team
  • Occasional travel (up to twice a year) to the Swisscom DevOps Center in Rotterdam

  • Degree (Uni/UAS) in Computer Science or a related field
  • Multiple years of experience with Python
  • Experience operating business-critical applications and knowledge of VoIP technology is advantageous
  • Proficiency in container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, as well as CI/CD automation tools like Gitlab CI
