We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to work with the latest and greatest big data technologies and build our newest hybrid One Data Platform, on-premises and AWS. As a Big Data Software Engineer, you are responsible for implementing, operating, and enhancing our self-service platform used by engineers to build data-driven products.

  • You design and implement our data streaming platform built around the Kafka ecosystem
  • You build software and self-service APIs that empower our users to get on board and manage their resources
  • You join the operation team and help improve both the reliability and the availability of our 24/7 platform
  • Working partially from home, job sharing and irregular business trips within Switzerland will be possible

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Uni/ETH/UAS) in computer science or equivalent
  • Several years of expertise with Kafka administration and DevOps
  • Software engineering skills in backend systems (Java, CI/CD, Linux shells)
  • Strong experience of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience on Amazon AWS
