Ready for Swisscom

You ensure stable application operation (2nd level) and at the same time take our GIS applications (planning and asset management application for Swisscom network construction, based on GE Smallworld) to the next level.
You will actively contribute to an interdisciplinary DevOps team with classic server-client applications and shape the path to the future. You will also be responsible for the application operation of Swisscom's network information centre.

  • Development, application operation, DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus) etc.
  • Planning, coordination and implementation of regular operational activities (release cycle)
  • Active opportunity to shape a technological transformation towards the cloud
  • Solution-oriented collaboration in a stable Agile Release Train
  • Home office and working at other Swisscom locations possible

  • Experience in the operation of large and complex GIS applications (incl. release changes, willingness to work on call) with sensitive data
  • Experience in processing incidents and service requests in a company-wide support organisation (also across teams)
  • Knowledge of automation tools to optimise application operation (e.g. Ansible)
  • Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
