1/3What you will do

We are a team of seven software engineers, data engineers and data scientists that are passionate about building data and machine learning products. We invent and implement algorithms, design and build systems while leveraging knowledge from domains like machine learning, graph theory, distributed systems, data mining, and privacy engineering. We are also an international team with significant cultural diversity.

2/3Your background

Our customers make data-driven business decisions based on our mobility indicators. These insights, we offer in a standardised and productive manner through APIs in Swisscom's data marketplace and our existing web platform. Thereby we support a wide range of use cases in diverse domains like retail to optimize visibility and efficiency of stores and businesses, city planning, to measure and anticipate changes in human mobility as well as public health, to quantify the effects of government measures and policies.

3/3Skill Check

As Big Data Software Engineer you are responsible for implementing and maintaining large scale data processing pipelines that transform raw data into mobility and network insights.

Your professional profile
  • Degree (Uni/UAS/technical college) in computer science or related field
  • Understanding of Software development in Python or Scala and data structures and algorithms
  • Experience in CI/CD and bash scripting
  • Know-how in building scalable and robust REST APIs and of Big Data technologies, relational databases and/or web front-end development
  • Comprehension of data science and computer security is a plus
What else sets you apart
  • Curious and motivated to experiment with new technologies and tools as well as able to work independently
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Written and spoken German or French is a plus
  • Good communicator and comfortable with presentations
