What you achieve

We are a team of highly skilled system and software engineers who build and maintain Swisscom's data lake. As technical product manager and system architect, you align technical solutions with the needs of our customers and the strategic goals of Swisscom, enabling teams to build their ecosystems. It's a down-to-earth role, hands-on where needed. In close collaboration with our customers, you tackle complex challenges. You create technical roadmaps and proactively construct the architectural runway, including prototyping of new ideas and concepts, platform sizing and financing.

We create and deliver state-of-the-art solutions. You form our long-term vision and goals, communicate with stakeholders and promote our platform to both customers and Swisscom executives. By exchanging knowledge with other companies, partners and open-source projects, you make sure we stay top-notch. Together, we continue to help our customers achieve success, now and in the future.

Why you succeed

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) or comparable experience in Computer Science or a related field
• Senior experience as an IT or Software Architect or Engineer
• Proven experience in designing and building backends in a data-driven infrastructure
• Hands-on product management capabilities (customer interviews, value proposition canvas and lean development process) as well as proven ability to drive technical roadmaps together with Agile teams
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and streaming approaches in big data, as well as container technologies (Docker, containerd) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of relational data structures and algorithms and familiarity with public cloud offerings from AWS, Azure and/or Google and container technologies are a plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills bridging technicians with executives
• Very good English, German or French a plus
