What you achieve

Relying on your experience with similar large-enterprise projects, you define and implement a state-of-the-art architecture for our cloud and hybrid IT managed services environment. You act as a mentor for our DevOps teams, providing technical assistance and direction regarding cloud technologies, system specifications and interface definitions as well as design issues, development guidelines and testing. By aligning with global technology cloud providers, you ensure state-of-the-art solutions.

You make good use of your interpersonal and leadership skills and help build a new DevOps team in charge of cloud-managed services at Swisscom. Tackling problems with a structured approach, breaking new ground and always staying on the cutting edge is what you do. As a key decision maker, you shape and define our tooling strategy, and you are happy to share your knowledge and experience on our blogs to support marketing efforts.

Why you succeed

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven track record of defining, implementing and operating complex cloud and hybrid environments on an enterprise level, preferably in a managed services setting
• In-depth knowledge of hyperscaler clouds and related services, preferably Azure and AWS, as well as cloud containers, microservices and other cloud related architecture patterns
• Hands-on experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools
• Familiar with configuration and automation tools (e.g. Puppet, Chef), cloud identity management and end-to-end monitoring solutions
• High customer orientation with the ability to understand our customers' needs
• Highly structured problem solver, team player with excellent interpersonal skills as well as leadership and coaching capabilities
• Very good English, German a plus
