As creative person you find ways to build resilience in our data processing pipelines and keep the uptime of our Druid.io cluster on record levels. You are not afraid to write code to enhance our platform to deliver state of the art security, multitenancy and self-service capabilities. "Polyglot" is not a foreign word for you - it's how you leverage the current technologies to your advantage and keep the operations footprint low. You use your communication skills and the collected monitoring data when you collaborate with data scientists and developers to optimize the performance and reliability of our microservices.

Why you succeed

  • Degree in computer science or similar
  • Experience in continuous integration and delivery, automation and scripting (Jenkins, Ansible, Bash, Python,Git) in a Linux environment
  • Experienced in monitoring and performance tuning software applications and data pipelines (Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
  • Hands-on programming and software development skills (Python, Java, Scala, SQL)
  • Knowledge in data base operations, preferably SQL (MariaDB) and NoSql (Druid.io)
  • Hands-on experience in Kafka, Yarn/HDFS is very welcomed
  • Pragmatic and solution oriented
  • Willingness to be on-call
  • Familiar with agile methodologies
  • Fluency in English, German or French is a plus
