What you achieve
We are a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, big data engineers, and data scientists working according to the DevOps methods. We build data processing pipelines that convert raw metrics into meaningful insights and recommendations and visualize them in a web application. Our software helps Swisscom identify customer problems as early and quickly as possible to provide a better service quality. To achieve this, we use machine learning, big data processing, rapid prototyping, and software development. Joining our team, you make a visible impact on peoples' lives by ensuring an uninterruptable and high-quality service.This position can be filled on a 60% job-sharing basis.
Why you succeed
- Master's degree or PhD (ETH/Uni/UAS) in computer science
- Strong programming skills (preferably in Scala)
- Professional experience with distributed systems and big data technologies (e.g. Spark, Kafka, HDFS, Hive)
- Good knowledge in SQL, data modelling, and visualization
- Strong DevOps skills (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Grafana, Prometheus)
- Expertise in web development is a plus
- Very good English, German a plus
