What you achieve

You join an agile team working according to Kanban, responsible for the operation of "WAN+ Service". During the commissioning and operation of LAN-I, you take over incident, change, and problem management together with the customer. You support LAN-I migrations and ensure interoperability with LAN-I and other Swisscom services. In addition, you assess network-related assurance and syslog data as well as health checks. You also ensure quality and scaling and carry out service upgrades. During development, you always keep an eye on automation and virtualisation aspects. You collaborate closely with various DevOps teams and suppliers.

Why you succeed

  • Technical diploma (FCC) or degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in network technology or computer science
  • Network knowledge (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, switching, MPLS/VPN, IPSec)
  • Know-how in Linux and scripting (Ruby, Python, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of the current Swisscom LAN-I services (network and IT) as well as virtualisation and automation technologies (e.g. OpenStack, SDN, Ansible, Puppet, Docker) is a plus
  • Certifications such as CCNA and CCNP are a plus
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and solutions
  • Willing to work on-call regularly
  • Able to work independently, very service-oriented
  • Good written and spoken German and English, French a plus
