What you achieve

Swisscom's integration platform is reliable and fault-tolerant because of you. You proactively improve the whole lifecycle of the existing platform from design to deployment, through to operation and enhancements. Be a visionary – we support your creativity but always let you use off-the-shelf solutions if they make sense. Whatever you do: You keep an eye on performance and capacity.

Your primary focus is on the DevOps chain of continuous integration, delivery, testing and monitoring. Furthermore, you build the infrastructure of the future with a high focus on automation. During your day-to-day operational work, you inspect and adapt problems that arise in production while searching for ways to limit potential outages.

Some of your tasks include:
  • Monitoring the platform by measuring and checking availability, latency and overall platform health.
  • Scaling the platform sustainably through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Operational incident response and blameless inspection and adaptation.

Why you succeed

  • Bachelor's degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Thorough understanding and skills in setting up complex CI and CD workflows (Jenkins, Maven, GoCD, Spinnaker, Concourse)
  • Hands-on experience in Linux bash scripting (Redhat, Ubuntu)
  • Comprehensive know-how of in software and vm provisioning tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform) 
  • Understanding of software design, data structures, automation and algorithms
  • Knowledge of Cloud Foundry, Artifactory, GIT, EAI Platforms like Tibco, Biztalk, Docker, Prometheus, Spring Boot, NodeJS
  • Strong problem-solving approach with great communication skills 
  • An agile mindset coupled with a good working knowledge of agile practices
  • Good English, basic German
