What you achieve

Working with software development teams, you are at the proverbial "coal face" when it comes to making sense of all the big data technologies. You help these teams to leverage our smart data infrastructure in their daily job. Our ambition is to have hundreds of teams, engineers and data scientists on board, sailing our data lake.

As a coach, trainer and adviser, you help our agile teams to understand the different technologies available and provide expert advice on architecting and designing the system depending on their use case. Until they master the technology, you support and guide them in their journey from sourcing and integration to processing and analyzing the data – naturally in a hands-on manner. You are part of the design process for a comprehensive training program that aims to teach AI and big data to as many members in the organization as possible. Furthermore, you spread and promote data at Swisscom every day.

Why you succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Uni/ETH/UAS) in computer science or another qualification of a similar educational level
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, NoSQL)
  • Proven programming skills in Java, Scala and/or Python
  • Know-how of Linux, Shell, and DevOps tools (e. g. Ansible, Docker)
  • Knowledge of data science and AI would be a great advantage
  • Demonstrated affinity for coaching and consulting in an agile environment
  • Very good English, French or German a plus

We intend to fill this position without involvement of external recruiting or placement companies.
