In this position, you are part of our cross-disciplinary team that builds and operates Swisscom's next-generation cloud platforms. Your main focus is on designing, developing, deploying and operating monitoring, logging, event management and alerting facilities for both internal and customer use. You are integrating and configuring vendor-provided tools, but also building new components, ensuring that they satisfy the requirements of our platform and our customers.

Why you succeed

  • Bachelor's degree (ETH/Uni/UAS) in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience of systems engineering and management, specifically of Linux-based systems (RHEL 6 & 7)
  • Development experience and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, Go), knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting
  • Experience with virtualized or containerized environments and related technologies
  • Expertise in logging and monitoring platforms is a plus
  • Background in configuration automation (e.g. Concourse, Ansible) is a plus
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
